Interested in hearing whats everyone else running for Powder or Pellets and sabots in this muzzleloader?

What gives you the best accuracy with your pro hunter fx?

I did some research before purchasing of course and went with 777 pellets and hornady sst 250GR sighted in quite well at 75 yards still going to fine tune before hunting with it but last 2 shots were touching lil high lil left but was out of sabots to do anymore shooting even the way it is I am confident for hunting but will dial it in yet.

Topped it with a nikon slughunter 200BDC really like it only complaint was my fault should have went with a higher mount hammer is tight to scope even when offset but I can live with it.

Mount setup is a DNZ.

Another question for muzzleloader users regarding bore butter is it really neccessary for storage??

Is a good clean and regular gun oil not enough.

Im running 15 inch barrels in 308 and 223 I had to put a wood forend on to accommodate the shorter barrels
Picked up a used 12 gauge Turkey barrel for raccoons on EE and a 28 inch 300 w.m.
It not as nice to pack as my Winchester low wall to pack but it's realy handy with the short barrels

For my front stuffers I have always used loose powder either 777 or Pyrodex. The reason being I am not limited to specific weights ie I can load 80gr 90gr or 110gr if I want. Last year I tried Blackhorn with success and really like the easy clean with Hoppes #9 and no fowling.
As for the bore butterI always stored with it in the barrel and only a loose fitting patch before loading to help keep the fowling soft. Regular oil doesn't really kill the salts from the powder and pitting can occur. YMMV

I would try blackhorn 209 powder my encore loves 90 grs bt volume with 290 gr tmz bullets , no more swabbing between shots way easy to load and accurate, use strong 209 primers with this powder , clean your breach plug with a 1/8 drill bit every 10 shots ..

I would only shoot Blackhorn209 in any of my black powder guns. So much nicer to work with than black powder or substitutes. I stocked up on the stuff then I switched to a custom smokeless gun shooting PRbullets .40/.50 240gr deadcenters.

I'm running two 50gr White-hot pellets behind a 45gr sabot Hornady 300gr SST. Accuracy so far is consistently 1.5" at 100 yds in both TC Pro-Hunter rigs I have set up.
One is a 28" barrel the second is a 20" Kathadin thats ported.
Nice to shoot as well. I did find inconsistent groups using 3 pellets (150gr); a little too aggressive of a load.

I really like the shorter barrels, especially on center fire calibres. I have had all my barrels cut down and re-crowned at 20 - 22" (11 diff cal) except for my 22 K Hornet that's been left at its 24".
Seemed to improve accuracy and made the rifle handle better in the field.

Shot more with the 777 pellets and found groups inconsistent
Changed to blackhorn 209 and wow so much nicer in this gun can actually seat several shots without swabbing could barely seat a 2nd shot with the 777 pellets...
Shot great groups with the black horn and 250gr sst's 1.5" clean barrel group and fouled was even better 1" all shots just shy of 100 yards
