Not with my 219 in 30/30 , but it did happen with a Savage 12 gauge single built on the same frame as a 219 , I forget the model number , it might even be a 219. I took it apart and found some play in the safety that allowed the trigger/sear to disengage from the striker , but the safety held it until it was disengaged . It was a pretty easy fix and has been trouble free since .
