rechambering 45colt to 45/70

I have one of the Pedersoli Baby rolling blocks in 45 colt and was wondering if it is possible to rechamber it to 45/70.I understand the the bullet dia of the 45 colt is a tad smaller than of the 45/70 but I plan on shooting cast bullets in it and sizing the bullets down to the smaller dia.

Without checking the shell diameters, I think sizing the bullets down between .003 and .006" would be a major job and more importantly I would expect the twist rate of the rifling to be considerably too slow for 45-70. I am not saying that you could not shoot the gun in a specialized way but that it would be a very impractical gun and you would further want to have it chambered in a way that prevented using factory 45-70 shells with their .457 bullets.

ya forgot about the rifling twist.I guess I ll have it rebarrelled instead
