I am looking at a Bruno 584 in a 12 ga over 7x57R and was thinking that if it was possible to rechamber into 7x65R I would buy it as I like the ballistics better. Is it possible and if so what would the cost be. I live in Cobble Hill B.C. and am hoping that there might be a gunsmith on the Island that can do this if it is possible.

There may be a problem as the base dia. on the 7X65R is slightly smaller then on the 7X57R, if it is possible you may have to spring for a chamber reamer which can cost $200. A very expensive answer to a problem that does not exist, in these guns you can't load them too heavy so I'm not sure what would be gained.

Do you have access to 7X65R brass?..The reason I ask is I am looking for some and so far I haven't found any....
As far as your question goes about the rechamber job I would have to agree with Ben...
If you still wish to pursue this project contact "guntech" a memeber here at CGN and ask him... He is a gunsmith and located in Brentwood Bay on the Island.....
