Recieved my first SKS pics.

So I have ordered new 34lb wolf/murray factory weight hammer and sear spring set for it.
If this doesnt stop the FTF with the ammo I was using and different ammo.
I will then move to replacing the spring firing pin with a new one however it seems to be protruding far enough so I do not think thats the cause of the FTF and almost all the rounds that FTF once always fire second time.

I tried a lighter hammer spring but got more FTFs. My last SKS purchase had the same rusty spring syndrome as you have. I replaced it with a spare Russian wound spring and that fixed the problem. The whole rifle seemed to be covered in sand. Very gritty. Nice to have the laminate Handguard too !!

Ya thats why i stayed away from lighter ones went with the wolf/murray 34lb factory weight setup

Was told firing pin
Hammer spring or recoil spring are problem but I do not see it being firing pin it protrudes properly I believe I will try to throw a pic up of it and its the spring one and its clean

As strange as it sounds I’ve had a broken firing pin too. I changed a bolt carrier which caused light strikes. I put a recoil buffer( for no apparent reason) in that did the same. I doubt the other springs have much to do with it. Just make sure the piston and smaller op rod are free from rust. If yo can’t clean the SKS right away, disassemble it into parts and it will be fine for quite awhile It’s the tight fitting areas that rust. I don’t recommend washing the bolt unless it’s taken apart and thoroughly dried or your pin will rust. Do you have a spring loaded firing pin? It’s just the early models that do. If so that could be the problem if travel is restricted
Disassemble and wipe clean with something like Ballistol. The firing pin only goes in one way. Make sure it rattles. I also put a ring of grease around the gas port area where the tube fits. I put a thin coat of grease on the side of the piston head too as this area rusts quickly inside the tube. Don’t get hot water on your stock or your finish may be affected. I only shoot corrosive Ammo as it’s way cheaper but you do need to clean it afterwards which is no big deal
