Recipe for loading berger 210gr vld in 308

Hi,

I am new to reloading and starting ELR, was looking to get inputs on a good starting recipe for a 308 load with 210gr vld berger bullet. I use mostly IMR 4064 powder and have federal premium primers and cci br2 as well

rifle used is a german ssg 3000 with 1:11 26" barrel.

Hi ,

I think your bullet choice could be better for the 1:11 twist you have.
Berger are giving a max velocity of 2360 fps for a maximum charge of 4064 for a 24#” barrel. ( say 2400 for your 26”.
Berger is stating your bullet will be marginally stable.

I would go with something in the 178 - 185 gr range.

You need to read a lot more on ballistic if you want to succeed in ELR.
