Recipe for Wby 300 with Partitions and H-4831

I have three different manuals, and have called Nosler support, and can't seem to find any specs for loading with that mix. Anyone have documented start and max load data with velocities for me? thanks.

Hodgdon lists the following for a 200gr bullet, but not specifically the Nosler.

H4831 - 77.5 grs - 2869 fps - 52,900 CUP

My Lee Reloading Manual says that same load is 62,000 CUP ??!!

I suggest you don't exceed that load. It would be safe, but I can't say if it's accurate which is all that matters. Try a few loads starting 3 grains below the 77.5 and choose the most accurate.

I would think H4831 might be a bit fast burning for a heavy bullet in the weatherby. I would start with reloder 22 and then maybe H1000

H870, 92 gr. predicted vel. 3000 fps, actual from my 26" bbl. 2940.
New US869 appears to be about the same burn rate as H870.
H4831 is too fast for 200 gr. bullets.
MRP or Reloader 22 should be good as suggested above, H1000 kinda iffy.

Lyman Reloading Handbook says H4831/200 gr.JRN , 71 grains(2500 fps)-79 grains (2865 fps.)

Always had best vel. and acc. with IMR 7828 in .300 Wby.(3000fps.-200gr.)

+1 on the 7828, it always worked best for me. Other than that I would used Reloader 25 or H 1000.
