Recipes for 40 Cal with Bullseye or Titegroup?

I have 160gr and 180gr.40cal Frontiers I want to put in front of Titegroup and/or Bullseye at an OAL of 1.12"

Are these decent powders for this app?

My Lymann's manual just doesn't seem trustworthy on this data, and I did use the search function but came up empty.

I'm looking for a medium power or even 80% load for punching paper "operationally."

Any suggestions?

I have several courses coming up and need to feed the beast!

4.4 gr of bullseye works great with 180 grain lead bullet 860 fps, 6.5 grains of hs-6 with 180 grain jacked 930 fps, 4.5 grains of titegroup 180 grains jacked for 950 fps. Bullseye and titegroup are very good with lead, i prefer hs-6 with jacked because it lowers the risk of a double charge.Fired from a beretta vertec 96

Is hs-6 a higher volume powder? (I forget the proper term....lower density??? )

I went with 4.1gr of Titegroup for 180gr bullet (because I was already set up for it.....) and I can't find a recipe for 160gr for Bullseye so I'm going with 4.5gr unless someone can convince me with some data.

The 4.1 was pretty soft. I'm supposed to load operational loads for these matches, not powderpuff, so......??

Universal is also very good in .40 pushing 180 jacketed.

I've just started experimenting myself. Had best groups at 3.0grains of Titegroup (around 700fps) and 4.5grains of Titegroup (around 1000fps) (180grain frontier TMJ, .40cal, winchester primer, 1fired remington brass out of a glock 22). Although we had some fail to ejects at 3.0.

I'm toying with making a target load and an IPSC load to make minor in production - Rupzuk - I'd be interested in your data: please PM.

Usual reloading caveats apply (different guns/components = different results, start at min and work up at your own risk).

Sig 226 for police/military style operational shooting. All gear and ammo expected to be 'operational, reasonable use in the field.' No soft target loads.

(It's merely a general rule in keeping with the goals of the organization)
