Reclassification Status on the BD38 and BD3008?

what about the BD3008? Is that good to go as well?

Yes and no. I posted the first tread about this because a friend of mine tried to transfer one. Still can't.

Some people here say they have transfered one stating that my thread was B.S. and that there was no such thing as "reclassification".

Johnone and Canam have already confirmed it has been removed from FRT list.

Does that go for the homemade semi Stens like what Claven was making about a year ago in the Milsurp Tutorial with pics. Are they non-transferrable as well because of the open bolt?

From what I can determine, the CLOSED BOLT versions are OK, SOME of the ######## guns are ok, others are not. My open bolt Sten has been at the RCMP lab for a year with no end in sight. They refuse to make a decision and I KNOW it is not readily converted, but given enough time their gunsmith will find a way using a lathe, mill, etc.

Likely at that point I will need to decide if I want to go to court or not.

I know this is an old thread, but I just stumbled onto it, as I'm buying a BD38 from another member here. What ever came out of this? Are the BD-38s in limbo, or are they transferable as restricted guns??

Back in February we were asked by Mean Steak about this, you can see our reply above, simply order one Many people did and you will note that we are now sold out....

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with the Firearms Tech Lab in Ottawa (ext.1090 after phoning main CFC 1800 number) and the FRT for the BD has been PULLED. NO TRANSFERS ARE POSSIBLE UNTIL THEY COMPLETE THEIR REVIEW (whenever the hell that is):mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

What that means is that they are busy trying to manipulate the system.

"Where the law doesn't let us do what we want, we will create & enforce internal policies which will."

They should be brought to book, but because they use "techno mumbo jumbo" the policy makers can be convinced that they are "just doing my job, sir".

Anyone who has any knowledge and "believes" that the gsg5 is a "varient" of an MP5 is either incompetant or deliberately dishonest.

That's kinda how it looks..........

Hey, John, as you guys were sold out, I found one privately to buy, only to find out that the CFC is not allowing transfers. If you have information that CFC does not, please chime in with details. I don't know if something has changed since you guys sold off your stock, or if this is some kind of CFC error...
