Any chance you recognize this powder? It’s out of a 308, Remington 168gr match load. I also pulled a 175gr federal gmm bullet and it was the same ball powder. This is from older ammo that I had a stash of. I’m just curious what you think it might be. I have always read that federal gmm used imr 4064 or rl15 depending on the time of loading by federal. But this doesn’t look like either. I measured 44.4 gr with the 168 rem load. And 43.8 with the 175gr federal load. I’ve never used a ball powder so I don’t have a guess what so ever. What’s your best guess? I know it’s a long shot and kind of a ####ty pic but I’m not sure how to upload a larger one

Look like BL-C2.

It's a excellent powder for the 308, i have reloaded many good 308 loads with it.

The factory buys powder directly from the powder maker. The powders they buy are seldom the same as the canister powers offered for handloading.

here is one you have never heard of.

Also BL-C2 powder is almost a clone of Varget in burn rate and performance except it's more temperature sensitive than Varget.
