Anyone know where to get them up here? All the sites in the US that I googled are either sold out or won't ship out of country. Anyone have a spare they are willing to let go? Thanks.
 
While I see your comment that Brownells is out for now, that's where I just got mine too (not yet installed). About $9 USD for the teeny tiny sacrificial plastic part and $14 USD to mail it to me via us postal service. I suspect if you ordered 10 of them the shipping would be the same.

It's not a stock part. So I'm going to guess that you're shooting HV ammo and feel that you need a buffer. Did the last one get beaten up and it's useless now? If so it suggests that a good course of action would be to fit the gun with the next stronger recoil spring. That would be a more prudent course of action than just another buffer that gets beaten up again. The buffer is one of those things you put in for insurance. It's not a part you really want to rely on to take the shock. That's the job of a correctly chosen recoil spring. The buffer should only take the last kiss and should last for many, many thousands of rounds. I can't help with a supplier for a buffer. But I'd suggest you look at Wolff Springs for a few springs to allow you to set the spring to limit the remaining energy. If you chose right you won't need a buffer.

About 1/4 down the page is the options for your Model 41. I'd suggest you buy a full set so you have all the spring powers you need to run pretty much any sort of ammo just by switching springs. It may be that you simply need a new factory standard spring. Or you might gain from using the 8lb heavier spring. And the lighter springs will provide you with choices if you should go back to the SV or even slower match ammo that the gun was intended to be used with.

Wolff has a flat rate for shipping on smaller orders that is high but not outlandish. But it does mean that you really want to put in an order for a bunch of different spring kits just to spread the shock of the shipping around. Do you have other guns that could benefit from spring swaps? Or maybe ask some buddies if they could use some springs to up the order to something closer to $200? Wolff ships directly to your door using regular postal services so there's no nasty brokerage fees. But just be sure during your checkout that you select USPS option to be sure.
 
I got 5000 rounds of Blazer a few years ago. Funny they are just as accurate as my Standard SK that I use in my Anschutz. However the 41 is still fussy shooting the Standard sub Mach even with lighter springs installed. Plus the Blazer cost a hell of a lot less than the Standard. So I say again, does anyone have a spare buffer I can buy? Thanks.
 
If you just HAD to have a recoil buffer, could you not get one made or make one yourself out of nylon plastic? That nylon is hard and durable. Or better yet, shoot SV ammo. Does the 41 come standard with a recoil buffer?

I don't HAVE to have a buffer, I just asked a simple question if anyone has a spare one. That's it, that all. I just talked to my brother who lives in Santa Fe and he will mail me a couple in a few days. Out.

If you want to shoot Blazer or other HV ammo that's fine. But the thing is that you are better with the proper spring that matches the power of the ammo. Then you don't really need a buffer. A buffer which will just get beaten up again if you don't swap the spring so it matches the ammo. But hey, it's your gun.
