Recoil check

Hi,
I'm currently looking at purchasing a Rossi youth matched pair: 20ga / 22lr. I want something light for grouse hunting. I was wondering what the recoil on it would be when firing the 20ga compared to a 30-06 (180gr) on a 7.5 pound rifle or a 7.5 pound 300 mag (180gr) rifle (these are the only two other rifles I've shot)? Would I dislocate my shoulder () or would it be manageable? Could be dangerous for scope clearance, no?

I have a break shot 20 gauge forget the exact length but its right around '26 and two 30-06, the 20 gauge is a pup, first of all youth is the key word, I have not heard of anybody disslocating a shoulder if you are holding the firearm properly 20 gauge is a very managable gun (my 130lbs wife handles is no prob) the scope clearance should not be an issue, If its for grouse your farthest shot is going to be 20 yards max I dont know why you would want a scope for that

Even a light 20 ga single has nowhere near the recoil of your average .30-06, even with 3" magnum loads. Don't worry about it even a little bit. I'm a bit recoil-sensitive and dislike firing rifles more powerful than .30-06 level, and I could fire a 20 gauge all day.

I also find the 12 gauge fairly light in recoil until it's loaded with 3" slugs. Then it gets my attention.

The recoil should be no problem at all, but if you are going to put a scope on it for the 22lr, I would suggest something that is rated to take the recoil of an air rifle as the cheap ones, are really cheap.
