My grandma (76 years old now, bless her pointed head!) used to carry an old Winchester 94 in .30-30 with a shortened stock that my granpa carved by hand to fit her better. The dimensions were so strange (she's Finnish, 'nuf said!) that I couldn't even hold the rifle comfortably, and I almost had to turn my head upside down to get a proper sight picture. You think .30-30 is a nice gentle push? Not when you're all cramped up like a dog f**kin' a football, lemme tell ya! I've only shot one rifle since then that kicked that hard. I wish I had pictures of it, it looked like a rifle that had been custom made for a garden gnome
.....now dats funny!!
