Recoil pad for 700P / PSS

I have a Remington 700PSS in 308. I want to replace the thin recoil pad - not because the recoil is an issue but rather because I want to add 1" at least to the OAL.

Can anyone recommend a pre-fit recoil pad for the 700P / PSS? I would prefer one that I don't need to grind down. I have heard that Pachmayr pads work pretty well, but not sure.

Pachmeyer makes a good pad, as does Limbsaver, or even a later model R3 pad from Remington. - dan

Thanks Dan. I've used the Limbsaver (R3) on a couple of rifles, but was wondering whether one or other fits better on a 700P / PSS stock too.
