I need a new recoil pad for my Browning XT trap. That factory pad on the butt of my gun is like a rock. I had a Kickeez on my old shotgun and it worked really well, however does anyone know what size fits ?? Where can I get one ?? are they easy to install ?? and/or is there a better pad ??

I have had good luck with kickeez pads and I also really like my 100 straight terminator pad, its not as gummy as the kickeez and doesn't grab your clothes as much. I needed a large for my browning citori plus and I suspect that you will need the same. They are not the easiest to install and get a really good fit. I install my own pads but its a messy job grinding rubber,do not do it in the house!(Burning rubber smell=unhappy wife)As long as you follow the directions and have a little skill with hand tools and take your time it's not that tough. I get my pads from Brownells
Good luck

Would you say that the Terminator is better thatn the Kickeez in term of recoil reduction ?? As well I have never done one before nor have I ever ordered from brownells. Are they easy to deal with ??

I would say the are about the same in terms of recoil reduction, the terminator is not as sticky as the kickeez and doesn't grab your clothes as much. Brownells is not to bad to deal with, Lawry shooting sports also carries some pads also and they are in Ontario.Like I said before its not rocket science but it is really messy, I usually put the pad on and mark around the but stock with a scriber and then rough cut the pad on the bandsaw, and then rough grind the pad to within about .020'' of the scribed mark on a disc sander. I then tape the stock with a layer of masking tape to protect the finish and then final grind and sand the pad to the desired finish. Like I said before do it in the garage and be prepared to be covered in rubber bits
Good luck!

Grind to fit!

Only choice for me!
I put one on my 300 RUM.
60 shots in 3 hours... No issues

I even bought a Slip on, so I could cart it around with me

Have you considered a Morgan adjustable pad? Good recoil reduction and it offers that extra bit of adjustment. You fit it by filing aluminum rather than grinding rubber - easy to do.
