New thread on an old topic.

I was out practising with some slugs at the range today with 'Ol Faithful' (my single Baikal).

Sweet Jesus those slugs made me eat humble pain pie.:redface:

I've never used re-coil pads before but it's time to put one on, so what is a good all around recoild pad?

My wife is in the city for a couple of days so now is when to buy it :p
 
Are you looking for a permanent installation or a slip on? I hav ehad good luck with the slip on Pachmayr pads, and I have had good luck with the permanent Pachmayr Decelerator pads. The slip on pad is much cheaper by the time you have the other fitted, but you may want to try it yourself so that would save you about $40.

I have not tired them, but people have been saying good things about botht the Kick Eez and the Sims reocoil pads also. The only thing I have heard about the Sims pads is that some people are freezing them before they work on them because they are really soft and jam up grinders; that came from a gunsmith I trust.
 
Limbsaver recoil pads--unbelievable recoil reduction.

Shot 100 shells the other day and no pain. They make slip-on pads, standard small, medium, and large pads and pads that can be ground to fit.

I went with the small pad--works like a charm. I highly recommend them.
 
I got myself a Pachmayr slip-on recoil pad for $11.56 (or $11.37?) anyways very inexpensive and you can use it on any of your other firearms once you've settled on a permanent solution.

It does soak up the recoil effectively. I use mine on my Nova which has a good kick but an awful factory hockey puck recoil pad.

It was day and night after putting it on. You won't lose much by getting one and they come in 3 sizes (small, medium and large).
