Merry Christmas,

I have a Sig 229 that is bone stock except for the 9mm conversion barrel that the gun came with and the .357 Sig conversion barrel that I just got from EFK Firedragon.

Question regarding the recoil spring.

The recoil spring that is installed right now (again stock - not sure what the poundage is) cycles 9mm rounds just fine, no problems.

If I start feeding .357 Sig through this gun with the stock recoil spring, after a while am I going to beat the frame to a pulp? If so, what would be the recommended pound spring and where could I order it? Midway doesn't ship to Canada, every time I try to order from Sig they act like Canada doesn't exist and Brownell's doesn't have them.

Thanks,
Reece

The stock recoil spring is 16lbs for the 9mm and 40 S&W.

The .357SIG is a necked down .40S&W to 9mm.

If you feel that it's too snappy, get yourself a calibration kit from Brownell's which includes a 17lb, 19lb, and 21lb recoil springs.
