What would you recomend for an sks scope? The rifle has a magwedge rail. Willing to spend up to $300. Don't need a lot of magnification. If it's fixed power I'd rather it be 4 power._

could always go full russian and use a mosin sniper repro scope on cheap UTG rings. the repro's typically take a 1 inch ring.
something like this IMO is perfect for the sks platform; https://www.corwin-arms.com/product/po-35x20-compact-weapon-rifle-scope-w-german-post-reticle-3
What I was going to suggest. The cartridge and rifle are not good beyond 300 (nor are most shooters - and ranges). So don't sink mega$$ in something beyond your needs.
Secondly, too much scope might conflict with the loading and ejection.
That is a good suggestion and would go well with my other sks that has a Choate receiver mount but I'm looking for something longer that will compliment the Archangel stock and also justify the rail covering the action. I have a scout scope that is ideal for my build but it's poor quality. If I could find a long eye relief scout scope but better quality I'd be happy so if anyone knows where to acquire one...
