bought a bushnell TRS25 and managed to break it after about 30-40 slugs.

I want a tough optic for my hatsan shotgun and will buy an ar15 too,soon...

Been thinking about using it on both guns.

Any recommandations?

No problem for me where you posted, but really, Aimpoint is like the standard for the red dot world. You really can't go wrong with one.

I have a Vortex SPARC on my 870 shot 100 slugs and so far so good. In the worse case Vortex warranty is excellent.

2nd. Vortex has a virtually 'no questions asked' warranty. Always been happy with them. Other wise a low power "slug hunter" scope from Nikon or Cabelas may be a wise investment.

Aimpoint H1.

I find the Eotech too high for a shotgun.

Also have heard good things about the spark, however I only have experience with the Aimpoints.

Aimpoint H1 has worked fine for me in 12ga 870 clone to date.

I'm getting a Vortex Razor for another 12ga 870, reports I've read suggest that
is about as cheap as one can go for a RDS that will hold up to repeated 12ga.

C-More RTS has worked well for me. I Harper shot several hundred rounds plus and have had no issues whatsoever. These are designed for open class pistols so designed to take a beating.

I've got some Trijicon Ghost rings on my 870, and I find them great for shooting slugs. I can acquire targets quickly and with confidence, surprisingly so considering how small the rear sight seems to be.

They are a bit pricy, and I was underwhelmed by the "glow" effect compared to some of my other night sights.

That being said, you seem to have something already lined up, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your new toy ;)

I have a vortex spark on my benelli m4 that has seen over 200 3" magnum slugs and about 100 2"3/4 slugs. With a mix of bird and buck. And it's still Rocken strong
