recommend a $100ish scope for a 10/22?

looking for an inexpensive (ie: not $300) scope for a 10/22T. i know, i know, spend at least as much money on the scope as the gun -- but right now i cant budget any more on this particular rifle.
its currently wearing a bushnell elite 3200 10x mil-dot, which was fine for range use but is pitiful at hitting small varmints that are closer-in because of the parallax issues.

right now looking at the BSA Sweet 22, some Weaver scopes, Simmons 22 Mag, etc.

i was about to order the BSA Sweet 22, but after reading dozens of reviews it seems that while some praise it highly, others say that it failed catastrophically in a short period of time. seeing as im in canada and repair/replacement is not an option since their warranty sucks and only applies to US customers, i think i will pass on the BSA.

im worried about the kalinka for the same reason. i looked at Bushnell first (due to their in-Canada warranty and wide availability) but their .22 scopes look like garbage, i normally would have no problem ordering something like a Bushnell Legend series scope (have had good experiences with them) their .22 scopes are not even remotely in the same league.

is there anything else you can recommend for a $100-ish 10/22T scope?
are there any inexpensive bushnells with an AO that goes down to 50 yards?

I wouldn't really get a "22" scope myself as I find they are all fairly crappy. I would reccomend a full sized scope like any other rifle. I've had excellent results with Tasco, Bushnell and Simmons for non "scope snob" scopes that won't break the bank. I just happen to be unloading a Simmons Blazer on the EE that was originally for my bubba'd LE, and well....
 
id need one with an AO that adjusts down to 50 yards...
i have a 10x bushnell 3200 elite mil-dot on it now, which works fine shooting at paper at 100 yards but the parallax issues with short-range shots are why im looking for an alternative.

maybe ill just leave the 3200 on it and deal with the parallax issues.

Get the tasco mildot with an adjustable objective for the parrallax. Cheap and should work with a 10-22 would not trust on a heavy recoil gun. I used the 6-24 for thousands of rounds on a toz 22. The lower 2.5-10 would be a better choice for hunting.
 
I am using a Tasco/Bushnell 3x9x40 from lebaron's that was/is on special with a Gunmate bag for $48.

Anyways, after about 5000 rounds in my 10/22 it lost a focus out of nowhere. I went by Bushnell Repair facility (handles Tasco as well) and without any questions got a new scope, within 5min. I am still using the new one, we'll see for how long.
 
I've got a bushnell banner on my 22. 4-12x 40 mm with ao. I really like it. I've never had a really expensive scope but this one really is clear. Got it for $119 new from Gobles in London

Also looked at the Muellers which I've heard are excellent but they are 200 in Canada plus shipping.

Warning about Tasco's. My brother in law has one and it is definitely of lower quality than the Bushnell Banner. I was out with him on a damp day, not foggy, just damp. My scope was fine, his was so bad I couldn't stand it, totally foggy view, couldn't get any definition with it.
 
I have a Banner 3.5-10X36 with AO mounted on my 10/22 and I love it. I think it cost me $120+tax from my local gunshop installed with rings and bases. If you are looking at doing lots of target work at 50 yards, I'd say go with something higher than 10 power, but for plinking and punching paper at 25yds it's great.
 
I have a Leupold clone and it works well enough on my .223, the only con I have discovered it is that as I change elevation the windage changes a hair. The changes are constant however, it's easy enough to record the changes and adjust accordingly... I wouldn't buy another one though lol.

Just bought a tasco 3-9X32 from walmart($73.42taxes in)and the gophers lookup and shake.

Carl would be proud!!(Caddy shack for those who are movie challenged)
