So I have decided I am going to start Reloading for my .30-06, want to build up a load for hunting, it will be for black bears and large white tail deer and possibly moose, shots are typically out to 250 yards max.

I normally shoot 180 grain blue box Federal ammo so I want something with similar hitting power, the gun is a tikka t3. This will be my first rifle reloading as I have only done handgun loads before.

So any tips? and Recommendations for a good bullet and powder load that will suit my needs?

thanks,

Just comparing the ballistics on the Federal site the 165gr nosler partition has better ballistics as far as velocity, energy and bullet drop than the 180gr soft points I am using.

The standard for many years has been 4350,and 165gr & 180gr as other members have said,if you want a little more performance try RL 17 its accurate and fast I use 165gr Accubonds and BT noslers
