I have a Model 29 with 6" barrel and I would like it shortened to the minimum allowable size (about 4"). Can someone recommend a good pistolsmith in the Edmonton area that I can have this done and approx. how much. I have seen work done by someone in the Lower B.C. area and it was outstanding, looks like it came from the factory that way but then you have the added headache of shipping and paperwork. Have seen a couple of examples at the shooting range and it looks like I did them, the cut and crown was fine but the front sight was horrible. Any recommendations?

Gunnar at Armco in BC does this and does nice work. - dan
Yes it was Gunnar's work that I saw and other than the factory lettering that said "44 Magnum" on the barrel that wasn't in the center of the barrel, you would have thought it came right from the factory like that. I just don't want it to turn into a prison type affair, you know 3 month's or 200 bucks, but when you want the best it will take time. Anyone else?
