Recommend a gun belt

Jones Tactical makes a really nice belt, although the lead time on mine was about 2-3 months. The belts are made to order, so if you want to have an inner/outer belt combo, you can do that by having him add velcro.

I've got three JT belts- a 1.75" 'Cobra Riggers Belt', then a 2" gun belt and 1.5" riggers belt that I use as an inner/outer belt. Before that I used a 5.11 'Trainer' belt.

The 5.11 is a nice belt and you won't go wrong with it, but it doesn't have as much velcro coverage as the 1.5" JT belt and I'm pretty sure it costed more to boot. The 'Cobra' belt uses an actual seat-belt style buckle and is definitely nicer than the 5.11.

Honestly...I found that using Riggers belts for a day of three gun killed me hips. There good and strong, but not overly comfortable after a few hours

Bought a Blackhawk Instructors Gun Belt and it should arrive in the mail tomorrow...Have seen really good reviews on it....Can't wait to try it out....

i just got a uncle mikes 3 gun competition belt, its got the inner and outer Velcro like the cr speed does, really well padded inner belt, find it really comfy, however I have never competed in it so my opinion might change.

Wilderness Tactical Original Instructor's Belt. 5 stitch one, it's great. nice and stiff but comfy and has a great buckle and some velcro to. I'm terrible at describing anything but it's worth a look. Got mine thru brownell's at a good price!

I`ve worn a High Noon Rock Steady laminated leather belt for 7 years and it`s still sturdy. I would recommend if you are looking for leather.

I'm going to have to disagree with this

I wear a a 5.11 operators belt nearly everyday and don't find it the least bit uncomfortable. It could be a body type/fit or environment thing though. Some belts are better for certain people doing certain jobs then others.

If you want a nice leather belt Jim Speidel of the thebeltman.net from North Carolina is a great guy to buy from. I have one of his belts and its one of the best belts I've ever owned. He offers lots of options, but most of his belts are made to order so it could take a while to ship.

Wearing the belts for everyday use you won't notice. However, as a gun belt, once you put mag pouches/carriers loaded with ammo, it adds quite a bit of weight.

Me, I am fairly thin, I found that with this weight on the belt, the belt rode right on my front hip bones...very sensitive afterwards.
