Recommend a pack frame

I lug a Tatonka around for heavy hauls.

Welded aluminum frame, stand built into base (the underside of which is a great place to strap a bedroll or small tent). Comfortable when weighed down and I’m pretty sure you’d have to drive a truck over it to do any serious damage. It is heavier than a lot of other packs, but not obscenely so. I only have a large single compartment bag from Cabelas for it. Usually I pack my most of my gear into a couple of dry bags and lash them down.
