Recommend a reflex or red dot for rimfire?

I’ve never had any luck with cheap Amazon type RDS sights, I’ve tried a bunch of them and can’t think of one that didn’t wash out in bright sunlight. After throwing away a few hundred dollars on cheap sights I now limit myself to dependable quality red dots.
To those of you who have had good luck with them I say good for you :)

Good point you bring up. Me and my other shooting buddies have aslo had the same experience that you speak of. Seeing over 15 pieces of cheaper deal stuff between several fellows, the cheap deal Amazon/Ebay stuff is " ok ", but on a bright sunny day they don't seem to have the same brightness ability as say a TRS25, Holosun, or Vortex, etc.
Myself being older, I don't want to loose a good shooting day because the red dots aren't performing well (I only have so many shoots left!!:p). I have put the cheapo's away and stick to the name brands. Keep in mind too, that name brand usually has good warranty, and some resale value as well. The cheapo's not so much so.
Others may have had good experiences with the cheaper units, but I am in Edgy's camp on them.

I have a Volquartsen extended rail added to my 10/22 TakeDown to allow forward mounting of a Burris FastFire. I really like the set up for birds and hares in the bush but I have been hit with the astigmatism. Now in search of a true 1X with a compact design. Kicking myself for not grabbing a Leupold Prismatic when they were still around.

Primary Arms new GLX 1X prism looks awesome for it's extended eye relief, I'm hoping they come out with a circle dot type reticle to compliment their current chevron line up.

Another good 1x that has a similar reticle to the leupold is the original 1X Vortex prisms, they work well on shotguns as the outer ring can be used with shot and the finer dot in the center makes for a precise aim point.

It reads more like a typical 3/8" rim fire grooved receiver on a long gun to me.... the fast fire's are nice little optics that can be found used for reasonable prices.... I've never dealt with Burris for warranty but they are lifetime/transferable.

I do have that same 3/8 dovetail on my Mossberg Blaze's receiver. Added on a UTG New Generation Dovetail to Picatinny/Weaver Adaptor Mount.

I then bought a Tru Glo TG8370B but had to return it due to a cracked lens.
Would the Bushnell TRS-25 fit on the UTG pic rail or directly onto the receiver ?
Any advice/input most welcome. Thanks in advance !

p.s. apologies to the OP for the thread hijack

TRS25 should fit a pic rail. That said, the adapter you have is pretty tall. I went with little spring loaded adapters recommended in post #6, brings the optic much closer to the bore that way.

TRS 25 fits Pic rails as well old weaver rails, that required the round cross pin.
