All these are fine and dandy for regular hamsters, but what would you get to stop an attack by the grand hamster of Alsace?
The Alsatian hamster's weak spot is fire. Their hair is very flammable, and the inside of their breathing tract is lined with hair. The trick is NEVER GO AFTER ALSATIAN HAMSTERS IF IT'S DAMP OR RAINING, and use a good flamethrower. I've also heard of guys that use large scale R/C model aircraft to napalm them, but I don't think I have the coordination to use the RC planes. Also, if you can handle them, attack pugs can and do beat Alsatians in a fight, however, speaking from experience, the pugs can be deadly to handle. They've been known to chew right through their owners' ankles. If you do use attack pugs, don't let them eat the hamsters, as it'll trigger blood lust, and you'll have to get them put down. The last thing in the world that you want is a pack of runaway pugs with blood lust.
I would suggest you get a Volkswagen, a purple shirt, and travel to any small town in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, or Alberta.
Go into the Bar or Coffee Shop, announce that you are ###, voted Liberal, and are there to campaign to take everyone's guns away.
If you make it back to Ontario, then you will have no fear of surviving a Hamster attack.

Anything less than .375 H&H and you are wasting your time...
