Recommend a scope for me...

Boys I went in to check out the new Stoney Creek Outfitting store in Whitecourt. They had a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X40 for $275. It is $250 at Wholesale Sports. I cannot drive to Edmonton or buy it over the phone from their Calgary mail order store for any less, so I bought it!

RATS!! .............. I wanted that 22lr.

Demon, the internals of the 3200 and 4200 are the same, the diff between the two is only the glass.

Probably like a lot of people on this site I went through a whole gamut of scopes, everything from a 2 1/2 power Tasco(what a POS), weavers , bushnells, etc . About 8 years ago, at a local gun show, I bought a "Loopy" Vari-x II for 250 dollars . It is a 4 x 12 with duplex cross hairs . I've had it on various guns and the scope has helped me shoot a lot of animals ...from 40 feet to over 450 yds. I like the 12 power for long range shooting and for checking out a deer's antlers(yes Martha I do use my rifle scope to check out an animal)
Get the BEST scope that you can afford.
I have never owned a Nikon ...but believe that they are quality glass .
A good rest, walking stick, bi-pod etc. will dampen out the "percieved " high magnification "shakes" .
