My vote is for a tundra 2.....I have a trapline on the yukon border and in 4 years my tundra has NEVER let me down......cant say the same about any other machine I've had.....

i've got a 95 skandic with the 380 an it's a long-track. easy machine to maintain, usually a quick tune up an she's ready to roll. has 8 inch ski-skins on it so the front sits up pretty nice an plows along breakin trail. it aint a racer but it will do bout 70 km on the trails, which is fine by me. i live in an area where there is really no groomed trail system so i break most of my own trails and i use it for hunting an jus getting out. it pulls everything from elk to our kids on the big-ass tobogan we have. i've gotten it stuck a coupla times but it was due to "pilot error" so i cant complain bout it too much. all in all, it's a nice machine an has treated me fine. i have a buddy with one of the polaris sks machines, it goes balls to the walls an can pull a sled full of full fish tubs when it has to. good luck with the search.

Buy an older tundra 2. Design has changed and they are using the REV platform which just does not cut it on the trap line. Way to much plastic. First thing to do with a tundra though is to disconct the oil system and mix your own gas. Long live the connibear

So, to keep this thread alive, I have located a 1990 Yamaha Bravo. Says it needs carb work, has some new parts, asking $350. Don't know much else. Anything specific to look for, know problems, fast-wear items, or weaknesses?

Argos are great if you don't mind 30mph tops and the worst bone jaring giblet juggling ride u have ever experienced. Not to mention the tons of maintenance on the chain drive. They are good for swampy country but travel 500 yards on hard ground without a kidney belt.
