Recommend a Tavor 21 Reddot or holo around $500?

I'm still biased toward looking for something with a real reticle so it doesn't depend on electronics working. Maybe a low-magnification or no-magnification scope? Optional illumination would still be good.

That is the reason I bought these on the pic rail mounts.
1x power magnification but with a pretty handy always "ON" reticle that focuses the eye.

The tritium is worn out though.

Checkout the Vector Optics 1x prism. Excellent bang for buck, better than the PA in my eyes.

If you don't got an astigmatism the Romeo5 is a hard red dot to beat for the $.

Aimpoint Pro on my X95. I like it - though bang for your buck, love my Sig Romeo 5. I actually like it more then the Aimpoint.

I should have mentioned that the rail that’s on my Tavor is a riser rail. I need something that mounts low and doesn’t have a riser built in.

So far the mepro and that holosun 512 are looking good to me. I may look for a used option before buying new though.

I have slight astigmatism so I don't like red dots. Eotech are great but expensive. PA or Vortex prism are a good option.

I've seen the Holosuns pop up in Ukraine and the middle east. The PLA uses them as well. I think they're a rugged optic. I haven't heard of any failures. I have slight astigmatism and the 512 is the only red dot that I can see perfectly clearly. The 507 pistols sights work well for my eyes as well, with only some slight distortion.
