I am not too familiar with which 34mm ring options are out there.

I currently have a DMR in what I believe are older MDT extra high rings, 1.5" from top of rail to centre of ring.
I just ordered a DMR II. I think with 1" high rings the scope would be very close to touching the rail but may work for most of my applications. It would be so close its hard to tell for sure without having the components in hand.
So I am looking for some decent rings a little over 1" from top rail to centre of rings. Which rings do you guys recommend?

Well if your on a "budget" I'm told that TPS are an excellent value, I myself prefer Badger or Spuhr, but that $$
Cheers

Mine is mounted on a extended 20MOA rail in Medium Burris XTR Sigs. The objective clears the barrel with room to spare and ESS handguard just barely. It would not clear the rail tho, if you needed the scope further back on the rifle than I do.

XTR Sigs are great rings, at a reasonable price.

I see the burris rings come with various MOA inserts. I like the idea of that. The scope is going on a 6mm so I don't really need super heavy duty in this case but that would not stop me spending money for good rings. Do you know the height from the base to the centre of ring on the XTRs?

The inserts are a great feature. Easy on scope tubes and great for adding inclination.

The 34mm XTR Sig Mediums are 1" above, I believe. That's the lowest height for these rings AFAIK.

I am a big fan of unimounts. I really like Spuhr but at $525 per they are pricey.

The AI mounts don't look fancy but they are 100% as functional and are less than 1/2 the price.

I would hit the EE to see what you can find on the cheap.

If you like rings I think TPS rings are gtg.

I really like the Burris insert solution

In the end I went with Nightforce XTRM 4 screw. I chose high which are 1.125". I have plenty of room to adjust the scope position. If I had gone down to 1.0" high rings I may have had to trim the front of the rail to get the scope where I want it.

thanks for all the help guys.
