Recommend me a 243 load foe yotes please

You could always put a pic of yourself with the coyote inside the hole in the pelt. That's what my taxidermist told me when I showed him the first one I shot with the 25/06 and 90 gr Winchester positive expanding factory loads. Don't know what bullet they used but it was deadly on coyotes and wolves

I doubt there is much you can shoot out a 25/06 that wouldn't be deadly on a coyote though. lol (FMJ would poke a clean hole, which wouldn't be good for finding the animal, but a good shot placement will still be deadly)

I shot one last year with a 25 06 from about 75 yds with a 75 gr hollow point going around 3600 fps, with no exit. It did sound like a hot water bottle when I rolled it over though. :)

Longer ranges the vmax will stay inside mostly. I hit one with a 120 gr A frame because I got tired of watching it. Hit a Lil far back in the ribs. He dropped so fast I lost him for a bit. Maybe a dime size exit
780 yards is the furthest I've taken a coyote. Bad wind call first the coyote actually pounced on the bullet impact in the snow. When the sound wave hit him he sat down and barked I think. Couldn't hear him but his mouth was moving up and down until the vmax smacked him in the chest. He just fell over
I had a 75 gr Vmax exit a coyotes skull at 540 yards. I was aiming at his chest and didn't get the lead right and hit him in the ear. The skull is in a pail in my back yard I've been meaning to clean it up and check the damage but life got in the way.
The vmax packs a punch. In a smaller caliber drive them fast and they usually won't exit. The 257 75 gr Vmax carries a lot more momentum to carry the fragments thru. I'd assume a 6 mm the same weight would behave the same
I've long thought the 250 savage with either a 75 gr Vmax or 100 gr Sierra would be the best coyote round available for out to 400 yards

I'd go imr4350 and 85 gr Sierra Gameking. This bullet is devastating on all game including deer. It is super accurate with the BC to buck wind and reach out 500 plus yards. It drills softball sized exits without fail.
