Recommend me a bolt action rimfire with three-position safety

MAS 45 (French trainer) has a Mauser-style wing -- that is a bit obscure these days and maybe not ideal for thick brush, but does answer your question and is a real nice rifle if you can find one.

Edit: Not sure but I think some of the older BRNO models (and the Norinco clones of same) have similar bolts -- not sure whether the safeties are 3-po or not on these, but I expect one could be added if not

BRNO would be pretty good. I was hoping for something like a CZ Lux model, but all I can find is 2-position safeties.

German snallbore Mausers have a three position safety. But much like it's French variant mentioned here they are by no means inexpensive or commonly found. Also more important perhaps you have to mount your optic very high to clear the bolt in operation.
