Recommend me a lightweight stock for my 16.5 inch barreled 700

If you want light and simple why not consider a HS LTR or McMillan M40 HTG? If you're on the inexpensive side of the equation, B&C makes a M40 lokk-alike that should be reasonable.
 
Manners I believe makes a carbon fibre chassis, I don't think it's 100% carbon fibre but there is a high content of carbon fibre.

The LSS is a great little stock, I'd be intersted if someone has one and can do an actual weigh in. By the specs:

Chassis 1.6lb
Ctr collapsabke stock .77lb
Buffer tube ~4ozs
Grip ~3-4ozs

I would guess around 3lb complete

A mcmillan htg with edge fill is around 1.6lb.

I guess the best answer would depend on what you are trying to accomplish.
 
My goal, is to have a lightweight hunting/tac/perscion rig... Where I hunt is a lot of hiking so the lighter the better, but it still want something to test build my marksmanship skills ( yes I know 16.5 is a short barrel for this but it's all about the challenge). Thanks for the responses so far, I'll look into the above and one know when the KRG chasis will be released? Also see the Cadex is making a new chasis as well.

Then why are you wasting your time and money on a chassis stock? Sure, I know they're all the rage lately but none of them will be as light as a conventional stock or as easy to carry while hunting. The last thing I'd want on a hunt in NL is a cumbersom rifle that was ill suited to the job at hand.

Unless you just HAVE to own a chassis stock, I think you're trying to re-invent the wheel here.

I'm only looking at a chassis for the ability to throw on a AR15 tube and stock so it can be collapsed down nice and compact, but I am by no means set on a chassis if it means I can have a nice lightweight moose slayer. I'm gonna check into the M40 look a like stocks but how much better would they be over the hogue over mold it came with? (this is my first precision rifle if you haven't guessed that by now)

Ok, I see what you mean. Here's another option if price is a consideration. Check out the side folder sniper stock by Choate. It would be very compact but you'd have to see how much it weighs. You won't have an issue being over the 26" OAL to keep it from becoming a prohibited firearm.
