I just came into a little lottery win. So now I have about 700$ give or take a little to spend on something in .45acp. I know I should start off with a 1911 but im curious to see what other pistols people recommend. This will be first pistol in .45acp.

HK USP 45 (Custom Sport, Tactical or with match trigger installed).

$700 isn’t that much in the gun world. The EE is your best bet once you pick a platform. I like the Glock 21 Gen 4.

That was me. My exposure to the 45 ACP caliber is limited, but I can only rave about my Walther PPQ 45. I'm not saying it's the best 45 out there, but I am extremely satisfied with its accuracy, but I am most impressed with its light and crisp trigger.

When I practice dry firing, the PPQ 45 is amongst all my pistols, the one where the front sight moves the least (or at all for that matter) upon pulling the trigger.

Down side is availability of accessories, if that matters to you, and the price of magazines (about $80 a piece).

Retail price is north of $900 but if you shop around, you can find it for about $750.

This. Love my USP 45, even more since installing the match trigger.

Pictured above is the .45 with trigger installed, and a 9mm Custom Sport. Both have been adjusted with lighter hammer springs.

It all depends on the size and shape of your hands. Try holding each of the ones folk are suggesting for size, and see what feels right. Something that sits in your hands like it belongs there is going to shoot well for you and you're going to enjoy it, but something that misfits awkwardly is just not going to be a happy relationship.

Given the stated budget, perhaps the best solution would be to buy a Norc, replace the grips with something that actually feels right, then buy a bunch of ammunition. Then go to the range and shoot a whole bunch. I've found that the Norc 1911 A1 has a very satisfactory "bang" once you sort it out a bit. SAM in 40 Smith is quite a bit more accurate, however, although that may be due to having a competent gunsmith re-work the thing.

With a $700 budget I would recommend the following :
Glock 21
Smith & Wesson M&P 45
Jericho 45
HK USP or HK45
SIG p220

to be honest, you are not getting much of a 1911 for $700 bucks unless you can find a good deal on a used Ruger. Norks are decent for the money and I would not hesitate buying one but with a $700 budget you have far better options
