Can you all recommend a scope for my Ruger SR22? Shooting from 10 to 50 yards max. I do not want anything with a red dot or batteries. I have a bad habit of not turning them off. Right now it has one of those cheap tasco scopes that come with a bore snake and does not hold zero.

At that range I would use a red dot. But since thats not what you’re asking for, im very happy with my Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35 rimfire scope.

The Bushnell 2-7x is a great scope for that range and Bushnell has a 30% rebate program starting March 1:

I would be interested in a Falcon optics M-18+ 4-18 x 44 MOA or M18+ 4-18 x 44 MRAD
The parallax can be focused down to 10 yards.
A choice of reticles, & a choice of First or Second focal plane.

I picked out this scope for a Kriss Defiance DMK22C LVOA that I want.
A dedicated AR 22lr with an Aluminium lower.

Yah, an 18x zoom is way way way too much scope for shooting beer cans, apples, plates ect. I don't need the parallex adjustment either. I have been looking at all of the other scopes mentioned. For the time being, I put back on the stock flip up sights. That right there tells you the kind of shooting I use this gun for. I just want something that gets good bang for buck. I just don't know all the good options out there.

No worries, I like the versatility of shooting on a low or higher magnification, ( offhand or bench) I thought you might too. Depending on your mounts, scopes like this have the potential to be used on more than one rifle.
Enjoy your SR22
Have a good night.
