Recommend me a thin hard rubber pad

Hi,

I'm looking for a thin recoil pad for my silver hunter. I'm looking to shorten the LOP for when I'm wearing thicker clothings in cold weather, but don't want to permanetly cut the stock short. I'm only looking to shortern it by maybe 1/4".

I looked at a few places, but didn't find any made specifically made for the silver, nor were the guys in the store any help. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Pachmeyer (sp?) makes one about 1/4" thick, grind to fit only though I think. You could make a spacer to fit between the new pad and the stock if that is going to be too short.

Look for the Pachmayr Old English or simulated leather face pads in the thin size. Think they are .680 thick. Great field pad not so much for recoil reduction although they help but they do protect the butt and look good.
