Welcome to the rabbit hole. I have been reloading since the early 70's. Not an expert by any stretch. I joined CGN in the early 2000's and have learned more since then than I did before. I found widely varying opinions and methods. I am not a precision shooter, and have tried some weird stuff, all the while trying to keep it reasonable and safe. Early on, I gathered my information from magazines and the odd book. Now, it is a matter of getting online and searching for, or stumbling on good info.
One article always stays in my mind. It was by Dean Grennell, who wrote about cast bullets, among other things. He put his blessing on shooting as cast Lee Tumble Lube handgun bullets. Up until then, I was pretty much convinced that casting was a pain in the butt. Oh boy! Did that article open up a whole new series of rabbit holes!
Keep an open mind, get hold of some books, read here and other sources, find a mentor or two, and have at it.
Reloading has been a steady source of enjoyment and learning for me. Have fun! Stay safe!
