Recommendation for Improvements on NEA rifles & Company.

That would be great but I'm sure we'd find a way to complain ;). I bet 1 year ago most would have said it would be hard to complain if we had a Canadian free-float forend AR with a lifetime warranty for under a grand!

Actually, about 1 year ago people were complaining on here as soon as Jeff and Dave mentioned it would happen.

Some call the WHAAAAAMBULANCE over to CGN!!!!

OH NOEZ! My $1000, Canadian made AR has tooling marks!

TOOLING MARKS!!!!!

You guys are a bunch of whiners.

Don't like it? Don't buy it. Capitalism, how does it work?

Um yeah, it does matter. It matters when a company that spent alot of time 1-2 years ago talked about how much 3rd party work they do for the aerospace industry (I don't know how many times I heard him brag about making V-22 Osprey parts) can't even keep chatter marks off parts. I'm not seeing machining here that's even remotely close to aerospace standards (at least not on parts going into aircraft I want to fly in). On friday I was at the Shooting Edge in Calgary and saw a bunch of their product; the machine work on a swiss arms lower was horrid.

Hint to NEA; your feed rates are too fast for the spindle speed you are running.

I want to see a tactical calendar in their product line. You know, cheap whores in skimpy clothing with suggestive comments while holding a NEA firearm.

Make sure it is a 18 month calendar, not just a 12 month one. Make sure the paper quality is top notch, non glare and for a low cost.

Greg

Heh, if poor workmanship is your thing, then you're welcome to all you can buy from NEA.

.

You would still find something to ##### about, even if it were perfect.

"What do you mean I have to clean it?! What kind of company makes a gun that I have to clean! This is completely unreasonable, and an obvious poor design / craftsmanship / production / ethics / etc....."!!!!!!!!!

It's a Canadian company that decided to take a chance on attempting to appease you whiners with something that wouldn't break the bank.

You're damn right I'll buy one in the future. And maybe 3 or 4 more.

Greg, no offense, but I think you've just managed to sum up everything that is wrong with the Canadian gun consumer.

"I WANT IT TO BE AWESOME! I WANT YOU TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL CAMERAMAN AND HIGHLY PAID MODELS! I WANT IT TO BE 18 MONTHS! I WANT IT ON HIGH QUALITY PAPER! I WANT IT TO BE NON-GLARE!

.....OH, AND I WANT IT TO BE DIRT CHEAP!!!!!

Sorry, I don't buy #### just because it's "Canadian made"....I buy stuff that's well made, and if it happened to be made in Canada, then great.

Super.

You're still talking to me like I'm supposed to care, which I don't.

Capitalism, how does it work? Spend your money wherever the hell you want.

The thing that kills me about all the guys vowing never to buy NEA, business practices etc etc is that Jeff, who owns NEA, is like the nicest guy in the world. He doesn't one bit fill the mould that so many people seem to be making for him.

What doesn't seem to register with many here is that Jeff and the guys who work for him are real people working hard to make a real CDN rifle. As such they have feelings, which so many people who have never even met any of these guys are merrily stomping all over. Maybe some humanity would be in order?

Why? Produce quality for perceived good value and the business will come, be humble and honest and the customer base stays....simple concept

I don't know anyone with NEA, nor do I own a single NEA product (yet), but in my opinion, NEA really screwed up when they promised "A Canadian made AR under $1000".

Canadians are already accustomed to spending $1000's of dollars on new AR's, and making things in Canada isn't cheap.

I'm not a business man, but for all the crap they've put up with, they should be charging $1500+ for the same damn gun with a little better quality control.

They could have (and should have) easily played the "Canadian manufacturing costs / labour costs" card, but they didn't.

Now the problem they've created is that they've branded themselves as a "value" (see: cheap) gun manufacturer, much the same way that HiPoint and Taurus have, based solely on the price of their guns.

Once you go low-ball like that, it's nearly impossible to try and go back. Hyundai is the only example I can think of that at one time appealed to the "value" car buying customer, and now appeals to a higher-end clientele.

Hey simpleton I wouldn't read much into this guys insight, he thinks hyundais are high end cars, no wonder he doesn't care about the quality of his firearms!!!!
