Hey guys,

Looking for some recommendations for the B&T APC 308.

I am looking to buy Mags, Sights, Scopes, Pods.

TIA - let me know if you have anything for sale as well.

Above all else, I recommend an upgraded Trigger as best "bang for your buck" in terms of improving the rifle's inherent accuracy. Unfortunately, your options outside of plated mil-spec AR Triggers and Hammers is quite limited with the APC 308 as the buttom of the Bolt Carrier binds against Geiselle, Timney and Trigger Tech custom Triggers, impeding the cycling of the action. The only custom Trigger that I have found to work with the APC 308 is the Elftman brand, which mimics the mil-spec trigger set for Bolt Carrier clearance. Sadly, there are no Canadian distributors or dealers who carry the Elftman Triggers. You will have to engage with one of the 3rd Party Importers to bring an Elftman Trigger in for you. Your best bet is AZ Tech Armoury as the correct Trigger is already listed on their website.

Next up in order of likely importance is an optical aiming device. What you buy here will depend entirely upon your intended application - short versus longer range, 1x holographic verus magnified, then type of magnified - Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) verus Long Range Precision Optic. The choices here need not be prohibitively expensive, despite being mounted on a $6K rifle. The Swampfox "Arrowhead" 1-10X 2nd Focal Plane LPVO is just $769 at RDSC and will take you out to 500m easily. The Long Range Precision Arken EP5 5-25x56mm optic is just $999 from Rangview Sports (among other vendors). The EP5 is simply amazing, feature-packed quality at an absolute steal of a price. First Focal Plane, Japanese Extra-Low Dispersion glass, dedicated Chinese Factory with Stainless Steel internals, Final US QC prior to distribution, etc. Here's a pic of my APC 308 with the Arken EP5 optic mounted. For mounts you will need a 34mm Tube-size to accomodate the Arken EP5: I like American Defense products for cantilever QD mounts, but there are cheaper options if your budget is constrained.

After that, you my opt for a 1000-lumen light withi a strong 200m(+) throw for positive target ID in low light conditions. Or perhaps you prefer to accessorize with a Vertical Foregrip, which Magpul can easily set you up with. And of course we cannot overlook the importance of having many, many magazines with which to feed our APC 308. Once again, Magpul can set you up, but the steel XCR "Pistol" Magazines offer the opton of 10 rounds of fun between reloads. Just saying.... Oh, and if you plan on running Match ammo, you may wish to invest in a quality Brass Catcher. I really like the one that I have, unfortunately it is not marked with any sort of manufacturer info whatsoever, and I have no idea who made it!
