Recommendations for a "3 Gun" Gun?

The issue is that I don't like about the speedfeed is that I have to move the whole rifle side to side to remove the sheels from the stock. Thus I loose my sight stance for a sec and also when removing shells from my shooting hand I have to totally off set the shotgun and use my shooting hand to slap in the 2 rounds. Plus if you use anything more than 2 & 3/8 you can only hold 1 in the speed feed. Now for the saddle round hollder it is as easy as removing your off hand while the other hand is still pointing the shotgun at the target and slapping in the fresh rounds no matter what the size they are I always know there are 8 of them with in an arms reach away. Now I also multi-use this shotgun as my turkey gun to so this is were I find the speedfeed is great. As I ditch my saddle mount & extra round tube. Then just place the spare turkey rounds in the stock and I am ready to rock. Also if you use the turkey choke for the 870 I find that anything under 25 yards will drop if you hit the target. Just my point of view & I hope that helps ya out.
 
AS far as carriers are concerned, I have used side saddle and speed stocks. The best that I have found is the 4 round California carriers on your belt. Quickest way to reload for me.
I run a 26 to 28 inch barrel with screw in chokes for matches. This gives me the best for shot and slugs.

The 3-gun match DeBeato speaks of had as part of one stage a "Texas Star"...

The distance to the target was perhaps 15-20 yards...

Those shooters runnin' their cyl. bore shotguns experienced great difficulty when it came to knocking the plates off...

Like I said.. steel needs to be hit hard... You need to land that entire shot column, or at least most of it on target.

Hitting a popper with 12 #7 or #4 pellets just ain't gonna empart enough energy to knock that ##### over...

Ah, see that's the sort of explanation I need.

So far, the 3 guns I've attended, the ranges were not greater than 25 yards and I've been pretty fortunate to not have issues.

In Alberta, the course of fire are an large and the distance as far but we haven't had issues shooting poppers and plates with #4 so far. Never shot a texas star either, looks like fun :)

I'd love to shoot larger courses like the ones you guys do, but i'll take what I can get.

KSG has its problems that may or may not be addressed prior to release... That and it's not true 14 rounds; you do need to manually switch between tubes when done; alternating is not an option
