The issue is that I don't like about the speedfeed is that I have to move the whole rifle side to side to remove the sheels from the stock. Thus I loose my sight stance for a sec and also when removing shells from my shooting hand I have to totally off set the shotgun and use my shooting hand to slap in the 2 rounds. Plus if you use anything more than 2 & 3/8 you can only hold 1 in the speed feed. Now for the saddle round hollder it is as easy as removing your off hand while the other hand is still pointing the shotgun at the target and slapping in the fresh rounds no matter what the size they are I always know there are 8 of them with in an arms reach away. Now I also multi-use this shotgun as my turkey gun to so this is were I find the speedfeed is great. As I ditch my saddle mount & extra round tube. Then just place the spare turkey rounds in the stock and I am ready to rock. Also if you use the turkey choke for the 870 I find that anything under 25 yards will drop if you hit the target. Just my point of view & I hope that helps ya out.so what your telling me is not to waste my money on a 100 dollar stock when i can get a 50 dollar on that would do the job nicely?
