Recommendations for a barrel chop and thread job in YYC?

You will not fine a gunsmith that will cut your barrel down to 16 .5 inch, you don't make a restricted gun you make a prohibited gun, does't matter what the action is
Read the stupid Canadian gun laws .
of course you can buy factory 16.5 barrels , you can't make your own.
This stuff has been hashed out here fore years, but know one likes the answers , so they go deaf.

Atrs will/can do short barrels. Did a 14 for me, but still had to buy the whole blank etc, and took some time. Check around you may find a faster turn around.

Thank you for this ...I will contact them and see ...I am now leaning towards a LH Rem 700 SPS-V barrel cut down to 20" from 26" now just to take some of the weight off of it so I'll see what they say.
