Anyone use or have any suggestions on a GPS app that will work with my Android smartphone? I do not mind spending some money if it is worth it!
P.S. Google has their suggestions, but I was hoping to get your personal experiences with some.

Thanks, Andrew

I use Topo Maps Canada a lot as well as the iHunter app. Topo maps acanada does work offline as you can download area maps that you’ll be travelling to, I used it a lot when I was in the Yukon this past June. iHunter is good for wmu boundaries and shows you what’s in season and the up to date regs per unit as well. I’m not 100% sure the gps maps can be cached for offline use...apparently they are working on a updated version with private property country maps as well.

I keep a real Garmin gps in my pack loaded with "Topo-Canada" I don't know if there is a cell equivalent. It has top maps of the entire country on it. Have to admit though, my primary method of direction is still a compass.
