So I have Derya Mk-12 on the way and hoping to get it this week. Was initially looking to put a Vortex Venom on it but after reading that they can be used on pistols, I figure they are small and would look out of place on the Mk-12. Anyone here with a Vortex Venom on their Mk-12 care to post a pic?

That got me to tinking of getting an EOtech 512 as the pic I saw of another nutter here who has one on his Mk-12, it looks good. For the time being, it will be-be used as a range toy putting holes in paper and shooing shooting clays. Will eventually be used as a toy as well as being carried in the woods for the bunnies and grouse.

Anyone with any other recommendations for a red dot that I should consider?

Cheers

I actually have a Vortex Venom 6 MOA Dot on its way to me for this shotgun. I just happened to have the Burris in my inventory to pop on there....it has a 4 MOA Dot. Any of those small red dots are going to be similar in regards to how they look when shooting both eyes open...the frame that holds the glass pretty much disappears, and the red dot just "floats" in front of your dominant eye.

I put an Aimpoint PRO on mine and like it. I've even done a little clay shooting with it and it did pretty well once I figured out how to shoot with both eyes open. My buddy did a lot better than I did and was hitting the clays almost as easily as I was hitting them with my Remington Versa-Max.

Thanks for the advice guys. I ordered up a Vortex Venom. I'll see how I like it and if I don't, I'll try something else. It's only money right?

I tried the Burris on mine, but as noted she sits way too low to be effective....even if I did bother to try a spacer, it just looks a little small on such a hefty gun. I just picked up a Romeo7 for it yesterday, so as soon as my mk-12 comes back (lent it out for a review) i'll be dropping that on to see how it works out.
