No danger. Any load approved for a 44 magnum rifle will also be approved for a 44 magnum revolver.
Take a look at Hodgdon on line. The same powder, same charge for a given bullet, the only difference being the velocity of the bullet being much higher in the rifle.
The lower velocity for the revolver is mainly due to the pressure leaking through the gap between the cylinder and the forcing cone, as well as somewhat of a loss with the shorter barrels of the revolvers.
Hey there Cody C.
You can shoot .44 special and even .44 Russian by single loading them. The only problem you may have is feeding. I rarely have trouble feeding .44 special in my Rossi, but it does happen. What happens is the lifter can occasionally catch the rim of the next case and prevent it from lifting the case into the chamber. The shorter OAL of the cartridge allows part of the next round onto the lifter thus causing the issue. You can fix this two ways, seat the Bullet long in the .44 special case or adjust the lifter, usually by replacing it with a modified one. There are companies that make the part for marlins for sure, not sure about 92's. You can even convert them to .44 Russian which is pretty cool. Imagine how many rounds you'd get in a 24 inch rifle's tube magazine!

Rossi 92 is half the price of the Winchester and much cheaper than the other 44 Carbines on the market. For the price you cant beat it.
