Just my 2 shells worth here, I was pretty much ready to replace my 11-87 with the new A400 when I saw one at a friends place and fell in love with the look, feel and "shock absorber" in the stock. I had cash in hand and told another friend (new hunter) all about this new gun I just had to have. He went out and bought one brand new, what a jerk eh LOL. So anyways, I had upgraded my 11-87 to have the sureshot pistol grip because I love that feel on most of my other long guns and we decided to do a comparison shoot with his new A400 and my 11-87 so I could be 100% sure I needed this new gun. In all honesty, the recoil on my 11-87 felt about the same as the recoil on the A400 likely due to the pistol grip, the only difference is we couldnt run a comparison on the 3-1/2" shells due to my gun only being a 3" gun. So long story finally over, I ended up getting a T97 and an FTU instead of replacing my 11-87.
