I'm reloading for 7mm Remington Magnum, just getting started really, so I have some federal brass and wanted to get some more.
Now I'm finding that its difficult to find and have been hearing that Federal brass is not the best quality.
Can anyone suggest a brand more readily available? Anything against Winchester or Remington Brass?
Thanks for your suggestions!

I don't know about new federal brass, but I have used lots of 1-F federal range pick-up brass and I love it.

Finding the right brand of brass might be a case of mind over matter . . . if you don't mind it don't matter.
In 1965 most did not know anything better than CIL Dominion but it lacked consistency.
Norma was very consistent in weight but some claimed it was too soft.
Two boxes of Remington .244 loaded ammunition had splits in the necks.
Try three different brands and see if you can tell the difference.
My .280 brass is WW, .260 is Remington, .22-250 is Imperial, Federal and WW and sometimes the difference is in annealing.

"...Federal brass is not..." The quality is fine, but Federal brass is known to be soft. That just means it won't last as long. Who made the brass isn't a big deal for a hunting load anyway.
"...range pick-up brass..." Completely unkown quality.
