Well im building an all custom 10/22 (No Ruger parts at all). WHat mags are the most highly rated based on personal experience?

Thanks in advance :)

The stock ten round are great. I have the new hc3r mag and it works for me!
They have a 100 round box speed loader. Really like the stripper clip idea!

I use the Butler Creek mag as well as the stock one, some of the other high capacity mags with the plastic feed lips tend to jam

stay away from the tactical innovation aluminum ones.
crap to the power of 10 and at $80 + per they are by far the worst on the market per price.

ive always had good luck with steel lips and i use them and stock 10rd ones pretty much exclusively.
i am tempted to invest in some of the stock ruger BX 50's that are in canada now but am waiting for some reports on them before i pull the trigger (pun intended)

Factory 10 rounder is the best! Hc3r was flawless with one ammo in my 10/22 then couldn't get more then 2 rounds off with another ammo.

My 10/22 also has no ruger parts as we'll, other then the mag.

The only magazines that function 100% in my DAR22 are the stock 10 rounders. BC steel lips were ok about 75-80% of the time. The BX-## functions flawlessly if I load 20 rounds, but I always get a failure after 5-10 rounds if I load it with the full 25 rounds. I had an aluminum TI mag, that I never managed to adjust correctly (and once they are adjusted they only work in that one rifle, so they are useless if you own multiple 10-22 based firearms). I plan to try the HC3R next.

Less than 110 round mags are a waste ...

Personally, I prefer to never use a 10/22 mag unless it holds a minimum of 110 rounds. Sometimes grouse, rabbits, etc. can be vicious and I just feel more secure in knowing that I have that uninterrupted extra fire power when things can potentially can turn bad ... :ar15:

Dont like to be the bearer of bad news but the BX-25 is a prohibited magazine. It is even given as an example on the RCMP site. It doesn't make sense I know but it is what it is.

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/bulletins/bus-ent/20110323-72-eng.htm

"Example 2*: The Ruger BX-25 magazine, chambered for 22 LR calibre, is designed and manufactured for use in the Ruger SR22 rifle, the 10/22 family of rifles/carbines and the 22 Charger handgun. As a result, this magazine is a prohibited device unless modified so its capacity is 10 cartridges or less. (*This information was not included in the original version of this bulletin, but was added on 2013-09-05.)"

Maybe you can get your money back, but keep in mind you will be walking into a store with a prohibited mag...
