Looking at buying a simple, resetable target for .22lr - Crappy tire has one for $44+tx, but it doesnt look like much. I dont have the facilities to make one, and I need it in the near future; can anyone recommend alternatives?

If it is the "Champion" resetable target I would go for it.

Myself & a friend have these & they have provided hundreds of hours of inexpensive enjoyment. They are well made & perform extremely well.

We have one a and a few single spinners (metal champion ones from ebay - $23) to your door and some of the rubber ones (16$ at le baron)... The singles get way more use - they fit easily into your pocket (as opposed to needing a dedicated hand to carry into the woods) and are totally reliable and don't require level ground.

I have 3 Champions, well 4 really but one got hit by a centrefire and doesn't work any more. The 3 working ones are great. Regular resetable, sillhouette animals and the duelling tree. My only complaint is that the "duelling tree" doesn't lock up when all the targets are on one side or the other. Other than that they are all well built and have taken thousands of rounds of abuse and only require the occasional hammering out.

I have the Champion one as well. Great for .22lr, but don't try it for anything else.

I asked the guy at the place I bought it at if I could use it with my .222 BSA vamit rifle as well and his answer was sure...it's basically the same size round...don't see the harm.

.....long story short, I now have perfect holes shot through all 5, 3/8" thick cast iron pads on the stand. :(

The Birchwood Casey .22 Gallery resetting target looks good. I've seen them for under $60 up here.

now it's more challenging, you have to aim around the holes too!
