I know some of you like to see recovered bullets so here is mine. I don't usually get to find them as I mostly get pass through but this deer was shot head on and I was able to recover it.
Held together fairly well I thought.

100 gr .243(6mm) winchester power point.

seen a few moose fall to .25 cal 100 grain power points. a few of the shots were even pass-throughs, although every one knows you need a .30 belted magnum and a 200 grain A-Frame or accubond to achieve adequate penetration on the larger deer.
 
I don't know what it would do to a game animal but @ 100yds my M44 is putting a speer 150gn spitzer hot core 5" into the end grain of a block of maple. The lead actually extrudes around the jacket as it mushrooms and is found mostly behind the base of the bullet! I think that's more than enough! I don't see a point for a A frame 200gn belted mag either. Unless you are grizzly hunting from 1/4 mile.

This was put into a mule deer facing me 125~150 yards.

Went in just in front of the right front shoulder and was found just under the skin on the left side of the chest cavity in front of the hip but behind the ribs. The deer did a 360 and fell almost in place with zero meat damage.

But....but......but......that's impossible.......the internets says so!
 
The test is what the wound channel looks like. I don't know how this nonsense of how a bullet should look and what it should weigh got started. The appearance and weight of a bullet never scared anything to death yet; a big sucking chest wound isn't as easy to ignore.The first looks better in magazine ads though.

My favorite is one that exits, so I can insert whatever fantasy image I want.

The score is 71.3 Grains according to my Lee Balance Beam.

You could subtract the 0.3 grains for the hair and junk caught under the folds of copper :)

As far as wound channel goes, well I did not really inspect it too deeply but let's just say it made the appropriate impression.
