Red dot – how accurate is it?

I got used rifle and guy give it with Bushnell Trophy 1x 28mm 73-0131, so my buddy wanted this rifle badly so I sold to him and l left the red dot to me.
I’m shooting on 100-200 yards. I was thinking of getting new rail for it and installing it on one of my bolt rifle...however I been told that red dot is very inaccurate even for 50 yards...

What is your experience with it? Have you try to shoot 100-200 yards with red dot? I want to know before I’m going to spend money for rail and staff…

Depends on the diameter of the red dot - if its tiny and u use an appropriate diameter black circle target they can be very accurate. If the dot covers a couple of feet at 200 yds - forget it
 
well it's has 11 different positon to adjust the size of the dot...I'm pretty sure i can make it tiny at 200 yards :D
